C.J. Peete, New Orleans public housing,
in limbo?
Historically New Orleans was the first city in the country where
public housing projects were built, following the depression.
I know little about the history, the reputation and the danger that became associated with these projects in the 80’s.
Now vacant, but still standing, an indication, that aside from style these first projects were built well, and seems a shame not to rehabilitate and re-train and re-house residents into solid structures such as these.
